SQL Mail Service

    I 'm having MS-SQL 7.0 server. My SQL Mail Services is not working It gives an error message.

    Error:34289, Severity:18, State 1

    Fail to Start Sql Mail session.

    What can be the reason, my Microsoft Outlook running fine.  My Sql Server Agent is running fine.

    You should check the account that was used to start sqlagent.  From Services, can you manually start it?

    if you can send mail successfully, check which account SQLServer and SQL Agent are running under. They must run under the domain account not the system account.

    Hello

    The problem is still there. In the AGENT Property in using Domin account. and in Connection in using Sql Server Authentication. but the email account in on my name xyz.xyz.com is that make any difference.
