SQL mail profile shows up in 1 instance, but not the other - same machine

    I have a machine w/ 4 instances of SQL 2000 running on it. I setup an outlook profile and set up mail in 2 of the instances. this was about 4 months ago. It was decided that we needed mail on all instances. the profile would not show up in the profile dropdown for sqlmail properties on the other 2 instances. I updated outlook and that caused it to show up in the third instance and that instance now works, but it still won't showe up in the 4th instance. Anyone run into something even remotely similar?

    Even stranger yet, when I go into the sqlserver agent properties, I can set the profile that uses and it's fine, but I can't set the profile for sqlserver service(through management/support services/sqlmail OR through right clicking the server/properties/server settings tab).both sqlserver and sql agent use the same network accounts
