I have migrated from SQL 7 to SQL 2K.
I have copied the e-mail account from the one server to the other (using import/export) from Outlook. I have ensured the 2 systems are identical.
The problem is:
When I send mail via the 2K system the mail doesn't get saved in the Sent folder. I have made sure the checkbox in SQL Agent and in Outlook have been checked off. I have stored the PST file in a network location. This saves when sent from Outlook
If anyone can help resolve this it when be GREAT!

SQL 7 stores a copy of the sent email but SQL 2000 does not.
From Technet:
SQL Mail for SQL Server 2000 is written using the extended MAPI interface and does not save a copy of sent messages in the Sent Items folder.
So you could bcc the mail account the sql server is using and create a rule in outlook to move the message to the sent items folder.

Thanks for the heads up! Thought I was doing something wrong!
Oh well. Your suggestion is how I set-up my "work-around"
