MY company has Lotus Notes as a standard and I want to set up SQL Server 2000 to transmit monitoring and backup information via Notes to operator e-mail boxes and/or pagers.
Most documentation I've come across only deals with MS Exchange. What components do I need to install at the server to create a profile taht will communicate with Notes?

First, you should know that IBM and MS do not play nicely together. I have attempted to set up the Notes/MSSQL configuration. Best info is located in Notes help file. Do a search on MAPI. You'll have to install Outlook to create a MAPI profile. You'll need a domain user id that starts the services with a password that never expires. You'll need a Notes Expert. You'll need lots of patience. I found that the last hurdle was the fact that you have to turn off Notes password checking when the mail comes from another application.
Ever think about SMTP? Sure works for me!
