I am running SQLServer2000,and having MS Outlook 2003 in same machine..i was trying to set the SQL mail to delever a mail to my mail box in case of failure, but while i could not find any MAPI profile in the drop down box...
is it possible to do with outlook 2003?or do i have to have to install outlook 2000?

Outlook 2003 does not install MAPI. You will need to install an older version of Outlook.
I keep a CD with Outlook97 on it just to install MAPI on SQL Servers.
#!&^&**$!!! SQL Mail. I feel your pain, friend. Good luck.

Also you will need to configure outlook using the account that runs SQL Server.
