I have installed SQL server 2012 on one server and changed the default path to d: drive still some files has been created in C: drive Microsoft SQL Server folder Why?
I want the complete installation on D: drive.
Please suggest me if any one know...

SQL has to install some things on the C drive to integrate with the OS, but the majority of the main important binaries will be on the D drive.

this is because some components are loaded at boot time. Logically, the only drive that is absolutely online during boot is the C drive 😉
