I do at least a couple of SQL installs each week as I'm taking care of 12 different sql2k5 environments that prepare the production release of the project I'm working on. As with the sql install setup, the binaries are installed by default on disk C, usually the OS drive, and MS does not provide a tool or a step-by-step guide to move them on a different drive - at least I'm not aware of it.
The production back-end installation will end up on a 2 nodes a/p cluster. My question is where the sql binaries are to be installed when installing on a cluster? Is again C disk the default? I reckon these should be on a shared disk, but the OS disk is not a shared one. An answer from someone having the experience of such installation would be highly regarded. Thank you in advance.

the binaries will go on the C drive of both nodes, then you put the data and logs on a shared drive. It will ask you for the shared drive so it can install the system db files there.
