    Thanks for all the replies it has helped a lot.

    Would it be worth storing both local date/time with offset from UTC and UTC date/time?

    E.g.

    TransactionID int

    TransactionDateLocal datetimeoffset(7)

    TransactionDateUtc datetime

    ...
