  Hi,

  I have *.idf and *.mdf two data file type, but I don't have the SQL software, is it any way to extract and edit the above two files using other software?

  Hi,

  How about download and install msde.

  Attach the database. (See: Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 325003 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;325003)

  Use ms-access as a client.
