SQL Error in AD

    i am seeing this error in the AD server (w3k):

    Event Type:Error

    Event Source:KDC

    Event Category:None

    Event ID:11

    Date:4/30/2009

    Time:9:53:27 AM

    User:N/A

    Computer:ComputerName

    Description:

    There are multiple accounts with name MSSQLSvc/sqlservername.domainname.com:1433 of type DS_SERVICE_PRINCIPAL_NAME.

    the sqlservername is a domain client server -

    how can i fix this error?

    more info -

    this is what i get when i run setspn -l

    MSSQLSvc/servername.domain.com:2345

    SMTPSVC/servername

    SMTPSVC/servername.domain.com

    host/servername

    host/servername.domain.com

    Is that account being used to run multiple instances? I wonder if there is some strangeness in W2K3 checking this.

    no multiple instances.

    about 8 months ago the sql and sql agent use to run under the local system account - it was changed to a domain account then -

    i will need to investigate it a bit more
