I deleted all last connections, but still I have connection issue,

I might have poinetd out the wrong registryitem, search for the db IP or name. Sorry, our solution cannot be more precise.

Can you make sure the port 1911 is open and server is listening on this port.
go command line and type "netstat -an", if you can find this port number and still not working, ask your network administrator to add one more firewall rules to open 1911 on your sql server 2005.

This port is open on server firewall
I can find this 2 lines :
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 38.117.65.41:1433 Server IP:1911 ESTABLISHED
TCP 38.117.65.41:1911 Server IP:1433 ESTABLISHED

Hi Guys,
I am having the same issue,
I can create a linked server in my local machine with the server name, but I cant connect to object explorer and i checked all the above ..
Anybody resolved the issue?
I tried :
servername\instancename
servername\$instancename
but cant connect..
