I have a database with Chinese_PRC_CI_AS collation. A varchar column (say ColumnA) in a table. When trying to insert 'Shim Ø24.5xø150x3' into ColumnA, I got 'Shim ?24.5x?150x3' in the database. When trying in a database with Lartin1_General_CI_AS collation, it all worked fine. What might be wrong?

The Chinese alphabet is more than 2000 characters so I don't think you can use varchar with Chinese collation you need Unicode so Nvarchar instead of varchar. Hope this helps.
