SQL Cluster - multiple instances

    Hi all, just a quick question - if I have two clustered instances so active/active (one used for mirroring) - can I specify the same IP address for both virtual instances? Reason I ask, trying to determine how a now trashed instance was configured and wondered if this is possible?!

    Each instance in the cluster requires a distinct IP address to be entered at installation time and it gets checked by the install process - so you can't install two or more instances with the same IP address
