Sql Agent Job Error (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 14582)

    Only a sysadmin can specify '@output_file_name' parameter for a jobstep. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 14582)

    One of the developer who is part of the roles dts_admin,SQLAgentOperator,Reader,User gets this error when trying to output a job file or log to a table.

    I do believe you answered your own question. The error states that only sysadmin can specify parameter but the developer having the issue is not in sysadmin role.
