I am receiving this error every time I try to look at anything in the sql agent.
Error: 0, Severity: 20, State: 0
Stored function 'xp_sqlagent_param' in the library 'xpstar.dll' generated an access violation. SQL Server is terminating process 79.
Article said to remove the xpstart.dll. This can't be done because it is in use. Any suggestions.

Set server to manual and reboot or stop the server. Replace the DLL with one from the last SP and then restart. This registers on server startup. Stopping the server might not work, in which case you need to reboot to remove the reference.
