I have been searching for a solution for some time, so I figured I might as well run it past the SQL gods over here. Hopefully this is in the right section.
For full disclosure purposes: The data we are capturing are crime statistics. We have addresses as well as offense types stored that we would be pulling.
I am looking for a solution (at little or no cost) that would allow me to search for stats that we have stored between a specific date range, or a specific offense type, that would then show all of the results on a map -- pushpin style (like google maps pushpins). Now I did see a pretty robust solution at Convergence this year that seems like it might do the trick, but it is very expensive and does so much more than this one little thing that we need, that it would be a ridiculous solution. I know there is a huge cost associated with the Google maps/Bing maps API. Any simple/easy ideas? :w00t:

I saw a demo at a SQL Saturday in NYC a couple of months ago where this was demonstrated as a component of SSRS from SQL Server 2008 R2
