  Hi I wonder if anyone can help?

  I've created a sql account with denydatawriter on a sql2000 database. But when I've tested the odbc connection the user can write - any ideas?

  Does it have any other kind of permissions like serveradmin or dbo??

  I'd double check that you're connecting with the sql account and not failing over to NT authentication.
