Hi,
I want to upgrade SQL 2008 enterprise edition from standard edition.
what are the points should take care before and after upgradation of database?

When moving to the higher edition there is not too much to consider in the way of features since Enterprise has all features Standard does. The optimizer is a little different in Enterprise though in some areas so you could see different execution plans out of some queries after the change, e.g. Indexed Views. It should go without saying but you'll want to test your workload before pushing the upgrade into production.
There are no special teachers of virtue, because virtue is taught by the whole community.

Thanks for your suggestion... First, I am going to install on dev setup after tested everything..then going for production setup...
Currently standard edition with SP1..I have doubts, can install sp3 before enterprise steup?

You should be fine, i.e. after upgrading the Edition the build # should still be the same as what it was when you were on Standard, but check the build before and after and be prepared to re-apply SP3.
