When I installed Sql SP 3 on a Sql 2K Gold server (Win 2P, SP3) it gave me : "There is not enough space on drive C:\ to extract this package. Please free up 136.35MB and click rety."
Funny, a check of drive C shows 68GB free!
TIA,
Bill

Yes, I rebooted the server and reinstalled Sql Sp3 and got the same error message.
The box I'm installing Sql SP3 on is a new box with a clean install of Win 2K, Sp3 and a new install of SQL 2K (no SP or user databases yet). I may just blow the box away, reinstall, and hope for the best.

You may want to post in the Microsoft public newsgroups. Microsoft usually has personnel perusing them... it's a way to get some free support. It may be a problem they aren't aware of.

Or try extract this package to another drive.

This is a good idea, too. We extracted to a central location and then copy the files down. I know, more load on the network, but...

I had the same problem. I went to Windows Update and downloaded all of the Critical Updates, and the error went away.

It is calculating the free size incorrectly. I had 8Gb free on a 40Gb drive and it said the same. I reduced my free space to under 4Gb and it worked. You might have to work at it with 68Gb free tho'. Try a smaller drive.
