We are looking to create a SQL 2012 consolidated estate on physical servers using standard edition.
This link shows the capacity limits
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993%28v=SQL.110%29.aspx#CrossBoxScale
While the first two rows show the values used by a single instance, the third does not. So does this mean the maximum total memory that can be used by all instances on a server is 64Gb, or that limit, as I suspect, is per instance, and Microsoft have worded it so just to add a little bit of confusion.
Thanks.
Rick.
