SQL 2012 SSAS performance issue

    Hi,

    We had upgraded our SSAS instance with SQL2012 Sp1 and Prior to this up gradation of SP1 there were no performance issue on the server. Post up gradation we are getting performance issue on SSAS instance. To resolve the same we had applied hotfix build ID: 11.0.3335

    "FIX: Component installation process freezes after you install SQL Server 2012 SP1"

    But still the issue is not resolved and we are left with no option but to restart the servers after that everything has been resolved. This happens every day morning between 9:00 AM to 10 AM. The memory & CPU utilization is below 40 %.

    When this performance issue happen SSMS goes into hung mode and after server reboot everything works normal.

    Server configuration:

    OS: Win2k8 R2 STD

    SQL SERVER 2012 Enterprise Edition SP1 CU 11.0.3335

    Dual proc 8 Core

    64 GB RAM

    Kindly help us to resolve this issue

    Is there any Best practices for SSAS configuration

    Memory, max degree of parallelism etc..

    Issue was resolved after applied SQL2012 Cumulative Hotfix 3
