Is it possible to install SQL 2012 (32 BIT OR 64 BIT)on Windows XP or Windows 7 OS?
I think windows server 2008 R2 only required. Although I just wanted to hera some experts thought on this.

No and Yes. You can't install on XP, but you can install on Windows 7. You can install it even on Vista if you'd want to.

I believe the requirements of the book are for the Enterprise edition.
If you want to have Enterprise edition features on Windows 7, you'll need to use the Developer edition.
