I know a lot of the talk on the licencing changes for SQL 2012 have focused on the move to per core & changes for VMs,
But does anyone know if the 30-day failover agreement is being kept as-is? Or will the new AlwaysOn features necessitate a change there too?
I haven't been able to find any mention of it on the various datasheets going around...

There are changes to licenses that are yet to be annouced. The news licenses will be announced in a few weeks time (not sure whether they will be rapped up in NDA's...time will time).

Thanks. Don't like the sound of that!

My suspicion is that you will still have the 30 day period, or some period for failovers. MS hasn't typically made changes there. I could see AlwaysOn only giving you one "spare" server as a free license when it's unused, but I believe that's the same as today.

Here's hoping so Steve!
