  I have a 2 node Windows 2008 R2 cluster running SQL Server 2012. I am trying to figure out a way to upgrade the Windows from 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2. Everything I am reading from TechNet says you cannot migrate from Windows Server 2008 R2 to 2012 R2 with SQL Server installed. Has anyone out there tried to do it or know of a possible solution.

  Don't. That would be looking for trouble.

  Install from scratch, you won't regret it.
