Currently using BackupExec 2010 to backup SQL 2000/2005 env't. Looking at adding a few SQL 2012 servers in the next few months. I'd prefer to let BE 2012 mature a little more prior to upgrading entire backup infrastructure to BE 2012. I was curious if anyone out there had any experience in backing up SQL 2012 using either SQL direct to tape or disk, or if there are any options as a stop-gap until we can get on Backup Exec 2012.

I've mostly used SQL and it works great on 2012. You can even use the Availability Groups to do log backups or COPY_ONLY backups in addition to the normal backup processes. What specifically are you worried about?
