Hi All,
I am using SQL 2008 SSR for building a map report.
I am using .shp file of a region with counties and town.
SSRS showing Region with counties and town in design mode but when I tried to view that map a error message appears:
"24306: The polygon input is not valid because the start and end points of the ring are not the same. Each ring of a polygon must have the same start and end points"
Did anyone encountered and fixed such error in Reprot builder 3 or SSRS 2008 R2?
please share the steps of give me direction for fixing the issue.
Thanks

It sounds like your .shp file has invalid geometry in it. Where did you get the file? Do you have access to the person(s) who built the file, to see if they can help locate and fix the bad data?
(Disclaimer: I don't have experience with mapping in SSRS, I just work around some GIS guys... 🙂 )

How are the towns displayed on the report? Are they part of a seperate point layer?
Need an answer? No, you need a question
