Hi All
We have SQL server three node cluster running 5 instances of SQL 2008 SP3 and one instance in SQL 2008 R2 SP2
One of the support DBA had installed SQL 2008 service pack SP4 and SQL2008R2 service pack SP3 successfully on two nodes, but on node 3 she encountered issue installing SQL2008 SP3 it gave error 2727 which we resolved after replacing the MSI files in c:\windows\installer with right ones as detail logs showed missing msi.
Then when she tried to install SP4 for SQL 2008 all the instance were greyed though version number showed 10.3.5500 but on shared feature it showed 10.53.6000.34(SQl2008R2 SP3).
We ran microsoft FINDSQLINSTALL tool but did not find any issues in it as well, has anyone faced this issue before or aware of registry key to make the installation allow to select the SQL 2008 SP3 instances for SP4 update ?
Thanks in Advance

Hi Satish,
Did you get to fix this issue? Apparently SP4 (instance name) is greyed out for me as well, Let me know if you did find a solution. Thanks for your help in advance!
