Hi guys,
I have always worked with SQL 2005 and now I am going to install and use SQL 2008 R2 for reporting.
But I have a doubt: I am reading that SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services does not use IIS.
My question is: Can I install SQL 2008 Reporting Services on a stand alone server (with web server or not) and the database server is located on another machine?
Thanks

Yes, you can install Just reporting services on one pc and point it to a reportingServices Database on another PC. its all configurable via Reporting Services Configuration manager, in the database section.

Just an FYI, installing SSRS on 1 machine and the database on another requires 2 licenses.
