SQL 2008 R2 64 Bit Hangs

    Good Day,

    we are runnign SQLS erver 2008R2 64 bit on Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit. Both are Enterprise Edition with 4 processors anfd 4 gig of RAM . When I tried to sign to SQL Server's Management Console, it just freezes and bombs out . I find it rather frustrating as the big sales pitch was that there will be no more system freezes . Any Ideas ?

    Looking at the event logs would be a good place to start. I recommend setting leaving 2GB of RAM for OS and allocating the remaining 2GB of RAM to SQL.

    Whats the size of your Page File?
