sql 2008 installation

    hi experts

    at the moment i'm using sql2005 express i need to install sql2008 without removing sql2005 express on my PC. is it posible?? and is there anything i should know and be aware of before i do the installation

    You would install SQL 2008 as a new named instance.

    Nothing to worry about other than you might limit memory for each instance so they don't overwhelm each other or your machine.

    hi

    i've done the installation and changed the named instance to a different name but on the Installation Rules window i'm getting an error saying i have to remove SQL Server 2005 Express Tools..

    please help, i'm not sure what i did wrong here
