I have a principal server and mirror server. On the principal there is one database leveraging Async mirroring and two databases configured with sync mirroring.
We need to install a component on the mirror server that requires a reboot of the mirror server.
When performing a reboot of the mirror server, should the three mirrors on the principal be paused or left untouched?
Any information you can provide is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I always pause mirroring before I shut down a server. I've never had an issue with mirroring being unable to restart if I just stop the SQL service, but to be safe, pausing is always a cleaner way to do it.

one of the reasons for using DB mirroring is someone wants "High Availibilty"
nothing needs to be done to reboot the mirror server in your case.
obviously, because you have one database in high performance mode, you would have to fail that DB over to the mirror node if you ever reboot the principal though.
