SQL 2008 Disk Usage Report not working "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

    Hello everyone,

    I have 2 new installations of SQL 2008 and when I try to execute a report that comes with SQL called "Disk Usage" I get the following error.

    "an error occured during local report processing -- > Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

    Both servers produce the same error.The server and database have no errors so I'm assuming that it's a configuration issue. I have full rights and CU3 has been installed (10.0.1787).

    If you have encountered this problem please let me know.

    Rudy,

    I did experience the same on one server. Not 100% sure if it was the same error but I think it was. In my case a simple refresh did solve the issue.

    Hello Markus,

    That seems to do the trick. Just strange why this is happening. Although, I have done refreshes before and the only way to get it to work is to pick another report first, then select the Disk Usage report.
