hi,
can we use same virtuval name for windows clustering and sql clustering.
WSDB0511V this is the virtuval name ,but windows team used for their clustername ,now can i use it as sql virtuval name.

Under Win2k3 and below the cluster name is independent of the virtual name and the two must be different. The two names are used to address very different "aspects" of the cluster.
We haven't used Win2k8 but I believe it's the same there.

When you go to install SQL on the cluster you will have to type in a name for the clustered SQL resource and it cannot be something already used. Plus, I think for simplicity's sake you might want something different so that the 2 aspects you will be utilizing the cluster for do not become confused.
