  Hi,

  There is a requirement to implement SQL replication from a SQL Server 2005 database to a SQL Server 2008 instance on another server. The replicated database will be used for Reporting. If I make the 2005 database the publisher, can the SQL 2008 instance become the Subscriber and Distributor?

  2008 can be subscriber perfectly well. I have used this in the pass to "upgrade" SQL Server boxes.
