Hi,
we will be installing sp3 soon on our SQL2005 Std 64bits. I am wondering if CU#1 is needed. If so where I can find it? Is it the last available CU?
Currently we are running
"Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3282.00 (X64) Aug 5 2008 00:48:00 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)"
Thanks,

IMHO, no you don't. Your current version equates to CU9 for SP2, this was the last CU contained in SP3. If you had been at CU10 or 11 you would have had to apply post SP3 CU1 to get all the hotfixes you had before.

steve jones maintains a build list on this site:

or do a search on 'build' in the search bar top right
