I'm doing a clean install (no previous CTP versions) of SQL 2005 RTM Enterprise version on a fresh Windows 2003 Server SP1 server. And getting this error that's preventing me from getting any further... anyone run into this yet?
(yes, I'm an admin on the box.)

I understand that you are admin on the box, however is the account used in the Windows Installer service also admin on the box or using the "system account" ??

No, that service wasn't even running. I started it (with it still under the Local System account) and tried the setup... it failed. Changed the service account over to an admin account, and the setup failed. Thought you were onto something there... any other possibilities?
Thanks.

Sorry, that was the only idea I had. Any errors in the event log, Install.log files, etc?
