Hello, I need to change the password of the domain account, which is used for the SQL Server services.
I didn't find any instructions which is the perferred way to do this yet.
I have two-nodes (active/passive) failover Cluster.
I guess, that I need to change the password of the account in Active Directory first, but how I have to proceed after that?
It would be great, if someone can give me a hint.
Thanks.

Once password is changed in AD just use SQL Server configuration manager and change the passwords there.

Thanks! Should I change the password on the active or on the passive node first?
Best regards

On the active as this is going to be trying to connect / authenticate actively.

You're welcome.
Side note, I know there are some utilities that the SE's I used to work with used to change them all at once when we did this. Saved a bunch of time and headaches. I don't know what tool they were using but it might be worthwhile to search the web a bit if you have a bunch to change.
