hi Experts
i have SQL 2005 Express on my PC and i'm doing the full installation of SQL 2008, i changed the named instance while doing the installation and everything ran smoothly until i came to the Installation Rules window i'm getting an error: "The SQL Server 2005 Express Tools are installed. To continue, remove the SQL Server 2005 Express Tools."
and the thing is i want to run it side by side and i've heard that's possible.
please help

You can have SQLExpress 2005 and SSQL 2008 next to each other, in fact I have both of them on my own notebook.
The warning you got is about the tools. I assume you have SSMS Express installed. You have to remove that before SSMS for SQL 2008 can be installed.
