  Hi

  I am attempting to install a 2005 Dev edition and I get the following errors:

  SQL Server Setup encoutered a problem and needs to close:

  Error Signature:

  AppName: setup.exe      AppVer: 2005.90.1399.0     AppStamp:434f6403

  ModName: mscorwks.dll      ModVer: 2.0.50727.42      ModStamp:4333e7ec

  fDebug: 0       Offset: 000214f3

  The only thing done recently to the workstation is a new Diamond Video card - what do you guys think?>

  do you install from CD?

  try reboot pc and start again

  what is your os edition\version\sp\security patch (when it was patched lastb time)
