SQL 2005 9.00.4220 performance issue after update

  Hi all,

  Was wondering if anyone could help or knows a known issue.

  We are running SQL 2005 on sp3 after this weekend. We are at 9.00.4220 which we upgraded to this past weekend. Applied sp3 and all updates. Since then, all out users are reporting extreme slowness in response time. I am looking at the CPU and it is running anywhere between 85% - 99% all the time.

  Any help on what to look at? Bellow you will see some data on the wait times. I attached it.

  It could be that you proc cache is catching up.

  When there service /server is restarted the proc is cleared, therefore when the SP/queries are run for the 1st time performance can take a hit!
