SQL 2000 Thread question

  • By default the Threads are set to 255. if i want to know how many threads are in used & also i want know if my server is having thread issue/problem, how i can or which system proc will give me that information so that i can increase the thread value if i have to. any info on this is apprerciated. thanking in advance.

  • well, on a 2003 box (and probably a W2K box as well)if you go to taskmgr and into the processes tab you can select options/ tools I think and add Threads which should show you how many threads sql( and every other process) is using at the moment.. I am not sitting in front of my work pc to get the exact details..but I think that if you also go into perfmon you can look under the sql subset and add threads as a watchpoint ..Hope this helps

    Thanks
