SQL 2000 Service Pack 4

    I have rebooted, but still get this message every minute in the error log. The backgound process that seems to be causing it is shown to be in a particulare database. That database is unreachable and is causing cascading blocks to 15 or 20 other processes. Can't get into the database to take it off line. Any ideas. . .

    What message? You haven't provided any details.

    did you apply SP4 to this instance?

    Sorry, the message was in the Title. Yes it had Service Pack four, issue resolved itself over time.
