SQL 2000 - logins aliased to database - how to remove them?

  • Does anyone out there know how to remove the asscoiation between Logins and Databases SQL2000. We have two database on a server both sharing Logins (hundreds of) and were wondering if there is a quick way to remove the association with one of the databases - trying to avoid manually changing each one.

  • How about deleting the users from the database? You can do that in Enterprise Manager by expanding "Users", highlighting the users you want to disassociate from logins, and delete. It won't affect the logins or users in the other database.

If the users own objects, you'll have to change the owners of the objects before deleting users.
