  Hello All,

  I am trying to install SQL 2000 Enterprise edition as an Active/Active cluster with the underlying OS as Windows 2003 x64, I have an old document for installation that tells me to create an Alias on Cliconfg for the virtual name. I wanted to ask which cliconfg will I use as there are two flavors of this one on the system32 folder and the other on the syswow64 folder.

  If you have any articles on installation I would greatly appreciate it.

  What errors did you get?

  Here are some possible reasons, quoted from other sources.

  Microsoft SQL Server 2000 64-bit is for Itanium CPU's only. It does not work on an x64 cpu - the architecture is different.

  There are three flavors for SQL 2000; 32 bit version, an Itanium 64-bit version and an x64 bit version. Be sure to have the correct flavor of 64 bit.
