sql 2000 and sql 2005

    I installed sql 2005 express and sql 2005 configuration tool before . since I need to install sql 2000 developer version in my computer. Althought I tried to uninstall sql 2005 express. I can't get into to my sql 2000 install at all. It kept ask me to access through microsft sql management studio. but I can't get into sql 2000 instance at all.

    It kept asking me to use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

    to connect to the server. but mine is sql 2000. it made no sense for me to download.

    What I need to do ?

    I tried to regsvr32.exe sqldmo.dll according to instruction.

    I still have the same error.

    Here are my two cents.

    1. Did you reboot your machine?

    2. Does the registry for SQL 2005 still exists?

    I did reboot the pc. I went to regedit. I find ms sql server 8.00.000, 80,90 . MSSQL.2 MSSQL.3, MSSQL.4.

    I do not know what would be sql 2005 express register like.

    If you would like to re-install SQL 2005, you can remove this registry. If you are afraid anying may happen, you can save this registry before removing it.

    I just reintalled sql 2005 again. since I need to use. Thx.
