  Hello ALL

  I was wondering if someone can advice me on how to go about a task on hand. I have been assigned to research, put together a project plan and implement sql 2005 on the same cluster which is running sql 2000 with in 2 months time frame.

  Now I think its possible to install sql 2005 named instance on the same server running sql 2000.

  what should I think about while putting together this plan? is anyone running such an environment?

  I think another poster suggested this a while back here or sql-esrver-performance, try searching the forums.

  My advice is the same now - don't do it. There aren't any reasons for, and everything against.
