Hi- I am installing SQL2000 on a Windows 2003 Cluster. So far, everything is going well, no issues. I have followed the step by step "how to" docs provided by Microsoft and from this site (thanks Brian Knight!).
My quesiton is- for an active/passive cluster - do I only need to install SQL on the virtual instance from the node that owns the resources? Or do I need to install SQL on both nodes?
Thanks,
JM

JM,
The SQL 2000 install program is cluster aware... so in the install when you get to Computer Name dialog box, check the Virtual Server button (opposed to Local or Remote) type the name of the SQL Server Network Name. This will install SQL binary files on each of the physical nodes.
Don't forget to apply sp 4!
