spt_fallback_db

    hi experts

    can anyone tell me what is the object "spt_fallback_db"

    when i ran a select query its not stop executing

    i found a couple of shared locks on the object mydatabase.dbo.spt_fallback_db

    but i couldnt not find the object "spt_fallback_db" in mydatabase .

    Later i found its in master db.

    Can anyone let me how to solve this issue and tell me what is the object "spt_fallback_db" for
