Splitting records > 30 mins.

    I see the confusion.  That is also why I usually don't answer without having the required results first .

    Excellent stuff!.. I will be able to work through the code.

    One thing I've noticed is that an event of 1.30 creates five seperate records. Is possible to split a record of 1.30 down to One record of 1.00 and one of 0.30?, and could the first record have some text in the type field stating it had been edited?.

    I really appreciate your help, I'm new to SQL and am only just learning.

    Check out mrpolecat's version.  It will do what you want,  Now you see why the required output is necessary to better answer the question.  That way there's no possible confusion.

    For clarification when we moved from minutes to a decimal

    .3 = 18 minutes

    .5 = 30 minutes

    You may need to change the values if you are really looking for 30 minutes and not .3 hours(18 minutes)
