Specify database owner while ATTACH !!!

  Hi,

  I have question ?

  I have created a database using Windows Authentication. I belong to windows Admin Group.

  So i have created the database. Then i have dettached the database.

  While trying to attach, it is asking for : Specify the database owner : ??????? In that drop down, i am able to see only sql server logins but not windows logins. not even BUILTIN\Administrators. What is the reason for this?

  Am using SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition.

  I see both windows and sql logins under database owner option. Mine is SP4.

  Might be the destination instance is not having any windows logins defined over there.

  Hi Manu,

  Basically, i have created the database using windows authentication and dettached the database once after pumping some data in.

  And when i tried to attach, i could find any of the Windows Account atleast BUILTIN\Administrators in the drop down menu.
